Dream Diet

You ate too much before bed. Now you're trapped in a dream where the food fights back.

Battle through a procedurally generated dream dungeon, munch your way through waves of fruit and fast food, and face off against THE BIG GIANT CHEESEBURGER.

Features

  • Weight system: Eat fast food to get heavier (more damage, less speed) or fruit to get lighter (more speed, less damage). Every bite changes how you play.
  • Roguelike abilities: Hit a weight extreme to unlock powers: charged strikes and shockwaves on the heavy side, dashes and blinks on the light side.
  • A boss worth waking up for: Survive the dungeon to challenge the cheeseburger himself.

Controls

  • WASD -> Move
  • Space ->  Attack
  • E -> Eat / Interact
  • P -> Pause
  • M -> Open Map

Background

Dream Diet is a student project made at Technische Hochschule Mannheim for the course GAE (Game Engineering) with Prof. Dr. Kai Eckert.

It was built in Godot  by a two-person team:
Nalin Caswell and Bastian Triendl.

The custom art, UI and logo were made by us.
Music and sound effects are credited to their creators in the in-game credits menu.
